Why

Optimus sighed as he looked around the battlefield. Several thousand humans had been killed before the autobots had gotten there. Of course, once they had, the decepticons had all left. Now, he was alone among the dead humans while others were coming to clean up the mess.

A small tapping on his leg caused him to look down and his optics widened. There was a tiny girl by his foot. She was missing an arm and blood was pouring out of the wound. He began to shake slightly as she looked up, her eyes black as pitch, with tears sliding down her face.

The question she whispered made him fall to his knees in grief as her voice echoed around him.

"Why didn't you save us?"
